I founded NIExpert, LLC after working for several years in the test and measurement/industrial automation industries and seeing that there was a need for companies to hire qualified test/automation software development engineers on an as needed basis.

NIExpert,LLC specializes in helping organizations develop software to test and measure products, and automate or control devices.  Following are examples of the most common services that are available.  Fees for these services are based on either a fixed agreed upon price for well defined projects, or on an hourly rate, for projects that are less well defined.   In all cases, I will work very closely with your team to ensure that all deliverables are met and that the project(s) outcome is a resounding success! 

Requirements Gathering and Test Plan Development - develop measurement requirements and test process specifications.

Automated Test for Design Validation/Verification/Manufacturing Test-  Architect and implement fully automated test benches with detailed data collection and reporting,

Start-up Assistance/Mentoring/Code Review  - when you want a second opinion, need some coaching or simply need an experienced person to help guide you avoid common pitfalls in developing scaleable solutions.

Software Training - I have provided LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, Testand, and/or "C" training courses to hundreds of engineers and dozens of organizations

Instrument Driver Development - Create or modify VXIplugandplay and/or  IVI compatible LabVIEW and/or LabWindows/CVI drivers for TCP/IP (Ethernet), IEEE-488 (GPIB), VXI, Serial, PCI, PXI, IEEE-1394 (FireWire) and USB devices.

Lab Automation -  I can help you with both hardware selection and software development.  We take on both simple tasks such as monitoring temperature to full scale automation systems.

Hardware and Software Troubleshooting/Support - When you need an experienced person to help resolve a problem, or when you need to go beyond the level of a vendors support.
